YOUR CHILD'S SAFETY IS YOUR CONCERN.

Ntsako Machabi (14) went missing on Thursday, 26 April

Our country, South Africa is one amongst plenty of countries which is known of high crime rates. Children missing are one of the most significant issues citizens are concerned about on daily basis. According to the figures released by the South African Police Service Missing Persons Bureau, a child goes missing every six hours in South Africa. My concern on this issue is that, what might be the cause of our children missing around our country and what is it that the government and our citizens doing to stop these kinds of issues to keep on increasing instead of decreasing?
According to my Public relations practitioner’s point of view, since in most cases of a child missing in our community has to do with some thugs kidnapping them, I think it might be significant for parents to guard their children. To add on that, here are some of the useful GUIDELINES on to how parents can keep their children safe from these thugs kidnapping their little ones.
1.      First of all, parents should not allow children to play far away from them. Thus, they should make sure that they are able to see the spot where their children are playing.

2.      If parents are not able to go somewhere and therefore requires them to send their children, they should make sure that this place is not far away from home. That is to say, parents should avoid sending children on to far places.

3.       An issue of finding someone who will lookout for your children in case you will be travelling far from home is one of the issue parents should be concerned about but my advice is, parents should find reliable people to look out for their children not just someone they don’t trust or know. Thus, people like your relatives or your neighbours might be an important guard for your children.

  3. South Africa is now known as the notorious country in terms of crime...This kind of things endangers our lives and the government must do something about this.It creates bad publicity for our country and we must work hand in hand with our Police to catch these thugs....They deserve to rot in jail. They endanger our childrens' lives and if this people continue doing so, our childrens lives might be at stake.

  5. What brings a human to the point of abducting an innocent child who only wants to play and have fun. A child would never harm a aly yet they are harmed
